We are looking for part-time male employees (15-30 hours), a main component of their position will be urine collection and Certified Peer Support Specialist, this is an excellent opportunity to work with those in recovery and learn about the court systems.  Federal Contracting requires observers to be of the same gender, therefore, these current positions will be filled by a male applicant.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs related functions as required. Answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting clients in understanding requirements and intake paperwork.  Assist in reporting to courts and probation. The Peer Specialist assists and guides clients toward the identification and achievement of specific goals defined by the client and specified in the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP). The work involves a variety of routine, standardized tasks that facilitate work performed by higher-level providers.  Work performed by the incumbent will promote community

socialization, recovery, self-advocacy, self-help, and development of natural supports.

 

Job Requirements

Certified Peer Support Specialist in the state of Utah

Must be able to pass a DHS-Licensing Background; DO NOT LET any past criminal history stop you from applying

Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to maintain accurate records;

Knowledge of and ability to apply evidence collection and preservation techniques; (onsite training will be provided)

Knowledge of and ability to apply customer service principles and practices;

Knowledge of personal computers and word processing;

Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation;

Knowledge of proper telephone and office etiquette;

Skill in communicating with culturally diverse populations;

Skill in communicating with manipulative individuals;

Ability to effectively observe and direct clients to assure proper compliance with drug screen collection requirements;

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all department records and information;

Ability to set boundaries with clients;

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position has been designated safety-sensitive and therefore the incumbent is subject to random drug testing;

The employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions;

May be required to lift twenty-five (25) pounds.
